Faculty

Randolph Taylor II, M.D.

Dr. Taylor recently moved to the Florida area after completing his active duty service in the United States Army. He completed his medical education at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his family medicine residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Dr. Taylor is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

During his service he completed a combat tour in Iraq supporting Operation New Dawn. Seeing soldiers as athletes he treated multiple sport related injuries in addition to combat trauma. This spurred him to further enhance his skills to return athletes to the battlefield whether it is the turf, hardwood, or the baseball diamond. He was the medical director for the Warrior Transition Battalion, prior to his Honorary Discharge from the army at the rank of Major.

Dr. Taylor is completing his sports medicine fellowship at Bayfront Medical Center. In addition, he serves as the team physician for the University of South Florida volleyball team and Eckerd College men/women’s soccer team. He is also a licensed ringside physician, and provides coverage to high school and community sporting events.
