Program Purpose / Objectives

This CME activity will review the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical conditions encountered in the clinical care of women. The course includes an update of current, as well as new technologies for the treatment of gynecologic disease.

: On completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to:
• Know current therapies for managing and treating abnormal uterine bleeding
• Assess the use of Methotrexate versus Surgery for Ectopic pregnancy
• Decide on treatment, or when to refer a patient to an infertility specialist
• Avoid the most common Medicolegal pitfalls in the practice of medicine
• Reduce surgical risks when performing laparoscopy or hysteroscopy
• Form treatment plans for menstrual disorders using sonohysterograms
• Recommend or perform endometrial ablation in treating menorrhagia
• Identify benefits of Clinical Research: Is this an option for your practice?
• Determine open versus endoscopic surgery for your patients: How to triage
• Reproductive update: IVF, sterilization reversal, treatment of recurrent miscarriage, male factor
• Identify the benefits of performing surgical procedures in an office, rather than hospital setting

Conference Sessions generally take place during the days at sea (as cruise itinerary allows) to avoid conflicts with Ports of Call or evening entertainment.
