Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of this CME activity is to outline the management of infectious challenges in clinical practice including emerging infections and antibiotic/preventive choices.
Course Objectives
Following attendance at this educational activity, participants should be able to:
Recommend appropriate treatment for Upper Respiratory Infections
Review the epidemiology of infective endocarditis
Discuss etiologic agents of gastrointestinal infections focusing in Clostridium difficile
Identify risk factors associated with community-acquired Pneumonia
List negatives of a Herpes Zoster vaccine
Review clinically important microbes that have become resistant to antimicrobials
Review clinical features of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Determine who should be screened and treated for asymptomatic bacteriuria
Recognize and treat Coccidioidomycosis infections

13.50 Prescribed credits by the
American Academy of Family Physicians.
Conference Sessions generally take place during the days at sea (as cruise itinerary allows) to avoid conflicts with Ports of Call or evening entertainment.
