Program Purpose / Objectives



1. Review “dual diagnosis” in youth and adults
2. Identify the principles of successful treatment in the context of an integrated model
3. Utilize a motivational interviewing technique for people with substance abuse and psychiatric disorders
4. Identify appropriate family interventions for people with substance abuse and their families
5. Practice stress relief techniques for healthcare practitioners and clients
6. Enhance personal and professional well-being using a self care
