Dr. Eileen Kalmar earned her doctorate in Neurobiology and Anatomy from the University of Rochester, NY in 1993. With that training, Dr. Kalmar has taught anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels. She has been involved with both dental and medical student education and curricula, advanced head and neck anatomy for dental residents, graduate anatomy student education and continuing education programs. In addition, Dr. Kalmar has designed and led several innovative Head and Neck Anatomy continuing education courses for dental and medical professionals.
Dr. Kalmar served as the Director for Anatomy Dental Education at Ohio State as well as Director of the University’s Body Donation Program. Over the years, her excellence in teaching has led to numerous awards, including the Distinguished Educator Award in the College of Medicine for 2022-2023.
