Tony Bleetman, MD, PhD, FRCSEd, FRCEM, DipIMC RCSEd, is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine with over 28 years of experience. He currently serves as an Honorary Associate Professor at Warwick Medical School and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma at the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London.
Dr. Bleetman has extensive experience in trauma care, having served as a Consultant Trauma Team Leader at St. Mary’s Hospital Major Trauma Centre for three years. He also has 12 years of service with Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), including a three-year tenure as Clinical Director of Midlands Air Ambulance. For his work in pre-hospital emergency medicine, he was awarded both the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Bleetman is a Medical Advisor for the Home Office. He maintains an active research portfolio and works as an attending emergency physician in both NHS Emergency Departments and the Middle East.
