Program Purpose / Objectives
To update practitioners on new antimicrobials and current recommendations for managing commonly encountered or emerging diseases and potential biowarfare exposure.

Preliminary Objectives:
Following attendance at this educational activity, participants should be able to:
* Identify types and management of pneumonia
* Describe extent and character of emerging infections, including SARS
* Define effects and management of bioterrorism agents
* Prescribe new pharmaceuticals in appropriate clinical settings
