Program Purpose / Objectives
MISU Cervical 2004 is going to be a fun and educational experience directed at diagnosis and treatment of cervical spine disorders with special emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. The course will take place primarily aboard the Holland America Westerdam which will make her maiden Caribbean voyage this December.

Live cervical surgery will be done at the Lake Worth Surgery Center in Lake Worth, Florida on Thursday morning, December 2, 2004 and will include endoscopic, laser, and nucleoplasty as well as discography techniques. Participants will leave the Lake Worth Surgery Center after the live surgery and head to Fort Lauderdale to board the Westerdam for a 5 PM ship departure. Lectures and hands-on workshops are planned for Friday and Saturday on board the Westerdam. All attendees of the MISU Cervical 2004 course will gain sufficient exposure to the state of the art procedures in cervical spine care and improve the opportunities for their patients.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above; this link allows you to price out the insurance plan you prefer. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
