Faculty
John A. Snow is engaged in active trial practice in both Utah and Nevada with the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy in Salt Lake City. He received a B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and obtained his J.D. degree from Arizona State University, graduating cum laude, and serving as an editor on the Arizona State Law Journal. Mr. Snow is a member of the Utah Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association. His practice includes general civil litigation, involving such matters as commercial transactions, construction, natural resources, professional malpractice, employment, products liability and intellectual property, among other things.

John E. Sullivan III is a member of the Cleveland law firm of Sullivan & Sullivan, Ltd. He graduated from Boston College and from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Sullivan is admitted to practice in Ohio, Massachusetts, Illinois and numerous federal courts. He represents both debtors and creditors in collections and bankruptcy cases, and advises clients in asset protection and estate planning matters. Mr. Sullivan has appeared in bankruptcy courts in Ohio, Florida, Texas and Illinois, and has acted as local counsel in Ohio for bankruptcy estates administered outside Ohio. He has been involved in offshore trust litigation; is a frequent lecturer on debtor-creditor and asset protection matters; has authored various articles for law reviews and professional journals; is a contributing editor to two legal treatises; is a member of the Offshore Institute, which is dedicated to improving the use and understanding of offshore financial vehicles; and is a member of the International Tax Planning Association.

Ward Wellman is a partner in the Charlotte office of Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein, L.L.P. and is a member of its Mergers and Acquisitions and Securities Law teams. Mr. Wellman joined Parker Poe in April of 1996, having practiced in New York City and Stamford, Connecticut since 1972. His experience includes representation of both public and private companies, as well as leveraged buyout and other private equity groups, in a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, securities and venture capital transactions. Mr. Wellman is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Virginia Law School. He is admitted to the North Carolina, New York and Connecticut Bars. He has been named to Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite” and to The Best Lawyers in America.
