Program Purpose / Objectives
Program Purpose/Objectives: To provide a review of medical and psychological issues regarding women’s health issues encountered by the Family Physician and physicians in other specialties as well as psychologists and other health care personnel. To highlight and explore in depth current medical and psychological concerns of women in regard to themselves, their intimate relationships, their children and/or parents – such as anxiety disorders, sexual dysfunctions, affective disorders, eating disorders, migraine headaches, psycho-cardiology problems, and decisions regarding cosmetic surgery and chronic pain syndrome.

At the end of the activity participants should be able to:1. Discuss frequent areas of emotional difficulties that women face
2. Identify how self efficacy is intertwined with self confidence, self image and body image
3. Identify ways to manage stress and reduce overload throughout women’s life cycle
4. Provide guidelines for maximizing women’s mental health
6. Address the self in close relationships utilizing a loneliness to intimacy continuum
7. Care about and contribute to others by working within a family, friends, colleagues and community framework
8. Appropriately refer for individual, couples or family therapy
9. Asses periodically if therapy is helping
10. Evaluate if pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy or both is the best course of treatment
11. Discuss potential positive and negative psychological repercussions of cosmetic surgery

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above; this link allows you to price out the insurance plan you prefer. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
