Dr. Kleinpell has presented at over 200 regional, national, and international conferences. She has also published on a variety of clinical, research, and professionalism topics, including evidence based practice, research, and quality improvement initiatives

Dr. Kleinpell is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, among others. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
