Nadia R. Malek, DC, DACBN, DABCI, is the owner and lead practitioner at the Malek Clinic for Natural Healing in Greenacres, Florida. With over four decades of experience in chiropractic medicine and functional health, she specializes in internal disorders and clinical nutrition, focusing on a holistic approach to patient care that integrates structural, chemical, and emotional well-being.

Dr. Malek earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1983. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Long Island University/CW Post College. A dedicated lifelong learner, she has achieved Diplomate status with both the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI) and the American Clinical Board of Nutrition (DACBN). She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Nutrition from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Throughout her career, Dr. Malek has pursued extensive post-graduate training in areas such as functional endocrinology, neuroimmunology, and the gut-brain axis. She is certified in the NeuroEmotional Technique (NET) and has served as a certification coach for the organization. Her clinical approach often incorporates detailed blood chemistry analysis and nutritional protocols to address complex chronic conditions.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Malek is an active leader in her field, currently serving as Treasurer on the Executive Board of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition. She has previously shared her expertise as a nutrition speaker and educator, including roles as a professor of Anatomy & Physiology and a speaker for Standard Process. She is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Arabic.

Kevin Michael Wong, B.S., D.C., is a Doctor of Chiropractic and the owner of Orinda Chiropractic and Laser Center in Orinda, California. He is a Fellow of the California Chiropractic Association (FCCA) and a certified instructor for RockTape and Rock Blades.

Dr. Wong earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the University of California, Davis. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of the Fall 1996 class. He has been practicing in the Orinda area since 2000, providing comprehensive care including examinations, physical therapy, and rehabilitation planning.

A prominent educator in the field, Dr. Wong has served as a core lecturer for Foot Levelers, Inc. since 2004, traveling internationally to teach courses on spinal analysis, extremity adjusting, and evaluation. He has also served as adjunct faculty for Palmer College of Chiropractic West and as a lecturer for Saatva. His professional honors include being named the 2012 Educator of the Year by Foot Levelers, Inc. and the 1997 Clinician of the Year by Palmer College of Chiropractic West.

Your Icelandic journey begins in Reykjavik, the world's northernmost capital and a city that hums with a unique blend of creative energy and profound natural connection. While it serves as your point of embarkation, to treat it as a mere starting line would be to miss the very soul of modern Iceland. We strongly encourage you to arrive one or two days early, allowing you to acclimate, unwind, and immerse yourself in a culture that is as warm and dynamic as the geothermal springs bubbling beneath its surface.

Iceland's capital and largest city is located on the country's southwest coast at the head of Faxafloi Bay. Settled in 877 AD, Reykjavik has grown into an important seaport and center of government and education with theatres, museums and observatories. Interestingly, this modern city still chooses to use water from nearby hot springs to heat all of its buildings, a testament to its innovative and sustainable spirit. Arriving early provides a crucial buffer against potential travel delays and allows you to begin your well-deserved vacation in a state of relaxed discovery, not a frantic rush to the pier.

A Suggested Pre-Cruise Itinerary: - Day 1: Arrival, Acclimation, and Architectural Wonders

Upon landing at Keflavik International Airport (KEF), your introduction to Iceland's otherworldly landscape begins. The 45-minute drive to Reykjavik takes you through vast, moss-covered lava fields that feel like another planet. Convenient and comfortable airport shuttles or pre-booked transfers will deliver you directly to your city hotel.

After settling in, take to the streets of this remarkably walkable city. Your first landmark should be the magnificent Hallgrímskirkja, the expressionist church whose design was inspired by the basalt columns formed by cooling lava. The undeniable focal point is the iconic rainbow-painted path leading to the pale blue Seyðisfjarðarkirkja church, a scene of gentle charm.
