Program Purpose / Objectives
Topics:
  1. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
    • Risk modification may influence long term management so it is necessary to diagnose and treat. Further, treatment options are dependent on patient desired outcome and should be considered.
  2. Cystic Fibrosis
    • New long term treatment modalities and medications can be considered and may be newer options for consideration of primary care management.
  3. Abnormal skin lesions
    • Recognition of abnormal skin lesions remains and management remains a key perspective of primary care management. Specific to melanoma, treatment has transitioned and guidelines related to cancer screening, surveillance, and treatment have additional considerations.

  5. Medical, ethical, and end of life care decisions
    • Medical ethical and end-of-life care decisions impact the care of patients and often have providers questioning personal beliefs while integrating medical knowledge and evidence based practice, keeping an eye on cost effective care. Integration of case studies will be utilized to demonstrate application of medical knowledge base with practical ideas.
  6. Amenorrhea
    • Describe the most common etiologies of primary amenorrhea and secondary amenorrhea. Be able to perform an appropriate diagnostic approach to the patient presenting with amenorrhea. Minimize long term risk factors associated with abnormal or irregular menstrual cycles.
  7. Dysmenorrhea
    • Know the differences between primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea . Discuss the signs, symptoms, and differential diagnosis for dysmenorrhea.

Ports of Call
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (Embark and Debark) - There is an abundance of things to see and do in the Ft. Lauderdale area: visit the newly redesigned Ft. Lauderdale Beach and cafes, stroll the historic Riverwalk, shop the luxurious stores on Las Olas Boulevard or adventure to the Everglades for an intriguing air boat excursion.
Costa Maya, Mexico - Exploring the dense tropical vegetation and wide sandy bays of the Costa Maya, it's easy to imagine the days when sacrifice and slavery, rite and ritual were rampant in the Mayan culture. Even today, the countless ruins of temple walls, stairs and secret pathways exude magic and mystery. And when your archaeology lesson is complete, glorious stretches of coral sand may inspire you to build your own empire-of sand castles, of course!
Cozumel, Mexico - The Conquistadors first saw Mexico from the shores of Cozumel while searching for gold. Today, visitors to the island continue to seek out gold and silver jewelry in the shops of San Miguel while having a great time in its many local bars and restaurants. Plus, the waters around Cozumel's sheltered coral reefs make this one of the best snorkeling areas in the world.
Nassau, Bahamas - The captivating capital of the 700 Bahamian islands. Attractions include forts to explore, coral reefs to snorkel and a fascinating straw market to shop

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above; this link allows you to price out the insurance plan you prefer. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
