Ports of Call
Calvi, Corsica, France - Rumored to be the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, Calvi is a small and stunningly beautiful beach resort town on the Island of Corsica (known to be the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte). Visit Notre Dame de la Serra Chapel and take in 360° views of the bay and surrounding mountains; explore the centuries-old fortress Citadel of Calvi, a remarkable example of Genoese architecture; and relish time relaxing on one of Corsica's secluded white sand beaches.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy - Plan your time here carefully, as the Eternal City's sights are endless: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican and so much more.
La Goulette (Tunis), Tunisia - Stroll Tunis' spirited medina where close-packed souks offer silver, perfumes, spices, carpets and other treasures at fire sale prices. Sharpen your haggling skills here—it's anticipated! At the edge of the Sahara, the Phoenician city at Carthage now lies in windswept ruins, but once was the glorious rival of Rome.
Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy - In Florence view the timeless treasures: the lofty Duomo, Giotto's bell tower, Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio over the Arno. In Pisa, see the famous Tower, still standing, if crookedly, after 650 years.
Marseille, France - Marseille offers an unexpected view of a mosaic of buildings and National Heritage Sites from the terraces of Notre-Dame de la Garde Basilica that towers above and watches over the city.

Alongside the port the towers of Saint Victor Abbey house crypts that already existed when Christianity was introduced into Provence. The columns of the Palais de la Bourse, the noble facades of the Prefecture and the fountains of the Palais Longchamp are part of the triumphant architecture from the 19th Century that is scattered throughout the city and that gave Marseille renewed splendour.

In the old quarter the houses are built on the sunny slopes ; the clock in the Accoules Bell tower, which was the old Sauveterre tower, still marks the hours of life around the Town Hall, while beyond the dome of the Vieille Charite hospice, Pierre Puget's masterpiece, stands out against the sky. The small streets of the Panier quarter lie a little further on.
Monte Carlo, Monaco - The Casino, of course--if only to venture into the enchanting Salon Rose, with its nymphs on the ceiling. A drive along the scenic Corniche which takes you to Nice, undisputed capital of the Riviera.
Naples, Italy - Capital of Southern Italy, the largest city of Campania, Naples is the third most populated city in Italy (after Rome and Milan), with over a million inhabitants, and is the most important industrial center and trading port for the South. Naples itself can provide a day's fun and entertainment, if its somewhat rundown appearance doesn't dissuade you. Or, join a tour of incredible Pompeii, frozen in time since A.D. 79 when Mt. Vesuvius brought an end to that then-thriving city. Or, take a quick ferry across the bay to the flowery Isle of Capri. Or, (yes, there's more) visit fabulous Sorrento, vacation spot for the well to do.
Palermo (Sicily), Italy - Palermo is the capital of Sicily in the province of the same name, and is located on the northwestern coast of the island in a marvelous inlet by Monte Pellegrino, described by Goethe as "The most beautiful promontory in the world."

Wandering through the streets of Palermo is taking part in a giant parade of witnesses to several different civilizations intimately fused together. Individual centuries and periods in history can be seen in the existing buildings and areas; admiring these masterpieces is similar to losing yourself in something timeless and unchanging, the current inhabitants disappear, and are replaced by perpetual memories, traditions and legends.
Barcelona, Spain (Debark) - Barcelona is a one of a kind, world-class city. While away the day exploring the beautiful, tree-shaded Las Ramblas. Or, marvel at its fantastic Art Nouveau architecture, with dozens of buildings that seem to have been sculpted from the stuff of dreams, like the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. For the more worldly, shop for exquisite Lladro ceramics, chic spanish fashions or enjoy a cuisine that many say has rival's the French for the title of world's best.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe.
