Dr. Markoff is currently the Chief of Hospital Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His interests include Quality Improvement and High-Value Care. He was an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley where he received an AB (with distinction) in Biology.
He received his MD from the University of California, San Francisco and went on to residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis. After his chief year, Dr. Markoff helped start the hospitalist group at the UC Davis Medical Center. He went to the Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2002 and served as the Associate Chief, Division of Hospital Medicine and the Associate Program Director for Quality, Internal Medicine Residency program until May 2016 when he took his current position.

Jennifer M. Katzenstein, PhD, ABPP-CN is a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist, Co-Director of Center for Behavioral Health, Director of Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Social Work at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her PhD from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis in clinical psychology and completed her internship year and 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. She then served as assistant professor of clinical neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine and pediatric neuropsychologist at Riley Hospital for Children. She is the 2020 winner of the Service and Professionalism Award at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and a national and international speaker on topics ranging from mental health of children to physician wellbeing.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada:
Through an agreement between the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, medical practitioners participating in the Royal College MOC Program may record completion of accredited activities registered under the ACCME’s “CME in Support of MOC” program in Section 3 of the Royal College’s MOC Program.
College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) has a reciprocal credit reporting agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Prescribed credits can be claimed as the equivalent number of certified credits, and Elective credits can be claimed as the equivalent number of non-certified credits.
Members of the CFPC may claim up to 50 credits per five-year cycle from Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 credits. Any additional credits are eligible as non-certified credits.
Credit Designation for Pharmacists: This knowledge-based activity is approved for 14 hours of pharmacy continuing education credit.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 14 (part II) MOC points in medical knowledge in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
