Paul D. Blaylock, MD, JD, FCLM, is a seasoned Emergency Medicine Physician and Defense Trial Attorney. He brings over 31 years of clinical experience from a Level I/II Trauma Center in Portland, Oregon, alongside 25 years of practice as a defense trial attorney. He is a past board member of the American College of Legal Medicine (ACLM) and has been board-certified in both Emergency Medicine and Legal Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Blaylock has held numerous academic and leadership positions. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark and as a Clinical Instructor of Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Additionally, he served as the Medical Director for Providence Medical Group's Tanasbourne Immediate Care. Beyond his standard practice, Dr. Blaylock has dedicated his medical expertise to disaster response, serving on emergency medicine teams in Mexico City, Guatemala, Ground Zero in New York City, and sites impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
Dr. Blaylock is a highly recognized lecturer and award-winning professional, having received the ACLM's prestigious Jefferson Cup and President's Award. As an active and celebrated alumnus of the University of Tennessee, he has served on the Medical School's Alumni Board of Governors. He was named one of the "University of Tennessee's 100 Greatest Graduates" in 2018 and honored as the Medical School's "Outstanding Alumnus" in 2019.
