Prof. Yael Leitner, MD, is a general pediatrician and a senior pediatric neurologist. She serves as the Director of the Child Development Center, the Marot Autism Clinic, and the pediatric ADHD clinic, as well as the Chief Neurologist of the Marot Center for Autism at the Sourasky Medical Center, affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University.
A Clinical Professor in Pediatrics, Dr. Leitner is the organizer of the Continuous Medical Education course in Developmental Neurology, the secretary of the Israeli Child Development Society, and an elected member of the Israeli ADHD Society council.
She has authored more than 60 publications and clinical research studies. Her research work and clinical interests center around risk factors in developmental disabilities, prematurity, intrauterine growth retardation, autism, and minor fetal MRI abnormalities and their impact on neurocognitive outcomes.
Dr. Leitner previously organized the continuous education course in Pediatric Neurology in the School of Occupational Therapy at Tel-Aviv University, and she is regularly involved in the teaching and supervision of several community Child Development Units.
