Brooke Schaefer is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and the Senior Vice President at Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana. With dual expertise spanning clinical practice and executive healthcare operations, she holds a Master of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Business Administration, along with advanced certification in addiction nursing as a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse–Advanced Practice (CARN-AP). Throughout her career, she has focused on enhancing patient outcomes, integrating clinical services, and expanding access to evidence-based substance use disorder treatment and behavioral health programs. She is also the founder of Renewal Library, a nonprofit organization committed to providing inspirational and recovery-oriented literature to individuals residing in residential treatment programs.
Outside of her clinical and executive leadership, Brooke lives on a farm in central Indiana with her husband and four children, along with their two pet miniature ponies and two pet miniature sheep.
