Dr. Sara Szkola is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine and a pediatric hospitalist at Stanford Health Care TriValley and California Pacific Medical Center. She is a national leader in wellness and interdisciplinary education, serving as Physician Wellness Champion for the Stanford Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division and Chair of the CPMC Health and Wellness Committee, where she advocates for the well-being of over 1600 clinicians. Dr. Szkola also co-chairs the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Community Pediatric Hospital Medicine Subcommittee, leading national initiatives that elevate the voices and needs of community-based pediatric hospitalists. She is a Co-Director of Stanford Pediatric Hospital Medicine Regional Simulation Programs, and her work in simulation, resuscitation training, and low-cost, high-impact education has been recognized across multiple institutions. Dr. Szkola is passionate about creating resilient systems that support high quality pediatric care and the teams that deliver it.
