Amy Flischel, MD, is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College and her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Dr. Flischel completed a preliminary Medicine internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a Dermatology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as Chief Resident.

Before joining the faculty at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Flischel served as a Dermatologist in the United States Navy at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, where she was the Assistant Residency Program Director. She later served as Section Chief at the CAPT James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois.

A dedicated educator and mentor to dozens of medical students and residents, Dr. Flischel has received multiple teaching awards during her time in the Navy and at Ole Miss. She has directed numerous symposia, taught at dozens of regional and national meetings, and authored over 20 publications in peer-reviewed dermatology journals.
