Faculty
Scott R. Austin is a partner with Arnstein & Lehr in the Boca Raton office. Mr. Austin received his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Ohio University, M.B.A. degree from Ohio University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Mr. Austin's substantive areas of practice include Corporate, Tax and Real Estate, structuring mergers and acquisitions; administrative law relating to numerous forms of entities and transactions for the purchase, sale and development of real estate and the protection of business assets, as well as rescuing such assets in workouts, bankruptcy and distressed situations. He served two terms as chair of the Florida Bar's Corporations, Securities and Financial Services Committee and served as reporter and formulated the adoption of numerous legislative amendments to the Florida Limited Liability Company Act, as well as the state's corporate and limited partnership statutes.

Mr. Austin received an award from the Florida Bar for his work on the development of limited liability company law in Florida and has published articles and given seminars on the use of limited liability companies for business operations and asset protection. He has been published nationally and currently authors a bi-weekly column on legal matters for the tri-county Daily Business Review.

Cathey L. Joseph has been counsel on several billion-dollar multi-site loans and numerous loans in excess of $100 million. Since 1986, she has represented real estate investors and developers in the sale, purchase and lease of vacant and developed al estate, including the creation of several master planned communities in Arizona.

Ms. Joseph has provided estate planning services to high net-worth clients, business owners and professionals and their families since 1983. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Arizona (sections on real property, probate, estates and trust), past president of the Arizona Commercial Real Estate Women, Arizona delegate to the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women and Commercial Mortgage Securitization Association.

Ms. Joseph received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso and her J.D. degree from Arizona State University College of Law.

John A. Snow is engaged in active trial practice in both Utah and Nevada with the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy in Salt Lake City. He received a B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and obtained his J.D. degree from Arizona State University, graduating, cum laude, and serving as an editor on the Arizona State Law Journal.

Mr. Snow is a member of the Utah Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association. His practice includes general civil litigation, involving such matters as commercial transactions, construction, natural resources, professional malpractice, employment, products liability and intellectual property.
