Course Synopsis:
Fourteen hours of continuation education on all aspects of treatment planning attachment dentistry.
The course includes root and implant attachments as well as narrow body implant systems, segmented fixed bridgework , precision and semi-precision removable partial dentures, bars and accessory attachments.
Course will include a hands-on demonstration using attachment models.
Clinical cases will be reviewed and discussed and doctors are asked to bring in a case with study models and x-rays for treatment planning group discussion. Lecture and Hands-On Demonstration
Learning Objectives:
Understand the rationale for using attachments in fixed and removable prosthetics on abutments, roots and implants
Become familiar with precision and semi-precision attachments, studs, rod and tubes, magnets, bars and other types of fixed, segmented, removable, and overdenture attachments
Be able to immediately incorporate attachment dentistry into patient treatment planning
Learn how to first do occlusal set ups and create surgical stents
Learn the Do&pos;s and the Dont&pos;s in attachment case treatment planning
Learn what precision and semi-precision attachments are and how they are used in prosthetic dentistry.
Become familiar with rigid and resilient intracoronal and extracoronal attachments

The Road to Hana is a winding, 64-mile drive through a lush rainforest, past cascading waterfalls and dramatic coastal cliffs—an experience more about the journey than the destination. Alternatively, ascend to the summit of Haleakalā, the "House of the Sun." This dormant volcano offers an otherworldly, cloud-level perspective of a vast crater, a stark and beautiful landscape unlike any other. Due to their length and complexity, pre-arranged tours are the most efficient way to experience these wonders from a cruise ship.
For a less demanding but equally rewarding day, explore the Iao Valley State Monument, a sacred and verdant valley featuring the iconic Kīpuka Puaulu (Iao Needle). A visit here is the undisputed main event, but requires commitment: it's a 45- to 60-minute drive each way. Once there, you can walk through the otherworldly Thurston Lava Tube, witness steam billowing from volcanic vents, and gaze into the immense Kīlauea caldera. Water activities are centered around Kealakekua Bay, a protected marine life conservation district with exceptional snorkeling and diving.
